My first completed quilt project

As many of you know I've been spending lots of time learning how to quilt. Well I love it, even if I'm rather slow at it. I set aside the scrape quilt that I have been working on to spend a little time doing smaller projects so I'd be able to actually finish something. So I'd have something to show for all my hard work and tonight I put the finishing touches on my quilted table runner. Here are a couple of pictures so you can see what I've been doing.

Hunting Dogs

On the way home from the BAGS trip Mon. we came across two gentlemen moving their hunting dogs of course we had to stop and take pictures. It was really cool, they were pretty well behaved. Each were called by name of course funny Americans hanging around taking pictures distracted them a little, but the gents didn't seem to mind and it was probably good practice for the dogs.

Quilt show

On Friday several of the Fairford quilting group went to a quilt show in the Malverns there weren't as many quilts or shops this time as there were at the Spring show, but it was still loads of fun and very interesting. While there wasn't as many shops I still found more than enough to spend David's hard earned money on. Sandy again took the pictures and they are so pretty I wanted to share them with you.

Westbirton Arboreteum

This week as been good week on Tuesday The British American Group (BAGs for short) went to the Westbirton Arboreteum. It was beautiful all decked out in it's fall colors, reminded me a lot of home. It was a perfect autumn day and lovely walk through the woods. The beautiful pictures are courtesy of my friend Sandy.
